Education Matters: The Role of School Psychologists

When it comes to educating our kids, schools need to be equipped to handle a wide variety of abilities.
The Pupil Personnel Services Department of the Fresno County Office of Education offers a variety of assessment, prevention, and intervention services to students, families, teachers, special programs and county school districts.
Its staff consists of school psychologists who hold graduate degrees with credentials in school psychology. These psychologists help students with severe disabilities to developmental delays to behavioral problems to ensure they’re getting a good education while dealing with their challenges.
Trish Small, Director of Pupil Personnel Services, appeared on KSEE24 Sunrise to further explain the role of school psychologists. Watch the video for the interview in its entirety.
