Four Arrested in Connection to Eleven Robberies

Fresno County Sheriffs Office and Fresno Police say that four men have been arrested in connection with eleven armed robberies. The men are facing multiple charges for robbery and burglary. In a two week time period eleven armed robberies took place.

Four men have now been arrested in connection to those convenience and liquor store hold up’s. Three men were involved in ten of those cases, 20 year old John Caberra, 28 year old Robert Davis and 22 year old Joseph Islas. In another case,19 year old Joel Rodriguez was arrested.

Police say they were caught by surveillance video, tips, finger prints on stolen scratcher and by a gps monitoring bracelet.

The group stole about $ 74 hundred dollars, scratches, cigars and high end liquor.

"The gps helped locate robert davis at the grant market as well as the locations where they cashed in the scratchers", says Sherrif Margaret Mimms.   

"In fact there were 6 robberies that occurred within a relatively short period of time, what we do know is that there 11 robberies that occurred ten in the city one in the county between the dates of may 28th and june 15th", says Police Chief Jerry Dryer.

Police say at this time last year there had been about 40 robberies, that’s increased to 69 this year. A little more than a sixth from these men alone.
