Fresno county proclaims Armenian Day of Remembrance

Fresno County supervisors are remembering the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide.

"Virtually every Armenian-American in Fresno was affected by this, the children, grandchildren, great grandchildren of victims of the genocide 100 years ago," Debbie Poochigan, the Fresno Co. Supervisor said.

Poochigan reminded us that Armenians were persecuted for their Christian faith. Father Yessai and students of the Armenian Community School were on hand when the county proclaimed April 24th as a day of Remembrance for victims and survivors of day of the genocide.
