Fresno Irrigation District will not make water deliveries this year

For the first time in the Fresno Irrigation District’s history, no regular water surface deliveries will be made to growers.

Because of the drought, and this year’s low snowpack, the Kings River will not have high runoffs. The FID voted to make minimal water available because of the low projections for the Kings River this year.

Those who illegally divert water could be fined $ 2,500.
