Fresno makes vehicle theft hot list

Fresno is among the top ten cities in the nation with highest vehicle theft rate.

This is according to a new report by the National Insurance Crime Bureau. The San Francisco-Oakland area tops the list for the highest vehicle theft rate.

The figures were compiled from last year. Among the other California cities in the top ten list, Bakersfield is number two, Stockton is third, Modesto is number five, the Vallejo-Fairfield area is number seven and Fresno comes in at numb nine and the San Jose-Sunnyvale area is number ten.
