Fresno State’s Top Dog Inspires Young Students

  

   Fresno State’s top dog at the university was given a warm welcome by students at Ahwahnee Middle School.  University President Dr. Joseph Castro spoke to students about college and career opportunities.   Dr. Castro has been going to several valley schools.  He says he understands what its like for students these days.

   Dr. Castro says, "it’s important that we believe in them and because I  sat in desks like these in  Hanford  I understand the lives that they’re living, and I’m excited for them. I think they have a very bright future."

  President Castro was also a Buchanan High School today.  He says it’s important for Fresno State to connect with students at a young age.
