Gang Member Arrested after allegedly pulling Gun on Police

A known-gang member is in custody after allegedly pulling a gun on police. It all happened after officers pulled over 36-year-old Hector Diaz for a traffic violation near Hunter and Clark avenues in Central Fresno around 6:30 Wednesday night.

Officers say he was on some sort of drug and later admitted to being in possession of methamphetamine.

When officers asked Diaz to get out of the car they say he refused and a struggle began.

That’s when officials say Diaz pulled a loaded gun from his waistband.

Officers were able to take the gun and get Diaz under control without shots being fired.

Diaz was taken into custody and now faces several charges.
