Late last night, a grease fire started in the kitchen. One resident got out, but the other stayed behind to try and fight the flames.
The fire though, just got too big and he got out. According to the fire department, he did the right thing.
"Never throw water on a burning grease fire. It’ll just make the fire bigger for the moment. Also create grease, it’ll splash back on you, and it’d be not a good thing," Casey Clark, from Fresno Fire said.
The fire destroyed the kitchen, and the rest of the home has smoke damage. Damage is estimated at about $ 35,000.
