Honor Flight: Fundraiser to Send Local Vets to DC Memorials

<div>The Central Valley Honor Flight has sent hundreds of our valley’s finest servicemen and women to Washington, DC to see their national monuments.</div><div><br /></div><div>It’s an emotional time for all the vets and their guardians and a well-deserved trip to our nation’s capitol.</div><div><br /></div><div>You can help send another group of our veterans to D.C. with a benefit concert this Saturday at the ApCal Winery in Madera where &nbsp;local musician and Navy veteran J.J. Brown, who will be performing this weekend.</div><div><br /></div><div>Central Valley Honor Flight is a local non-profit organization that raises money to take WWll</div><div>Veterans to visit their memorial and other military memorials in Washington D.C. In 2014,</div><div>Central Valley Honor Flight funded four trips to D.C., giving over 200 WWII Veterans one more tour with honor. The cost of each trip is covered by donations, without taxpayer or grant money. Each flight costs approximately $150,000.00.</div><div><br /></div><div>Honor Flight organizers are also now taking calls for Korean War Veterans.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>The fundraising event is Saturday, March 28, from &nbsp;2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at ApCal Wine Tasting &amp; Events Center: 32749 Ave. 7 in Madera.<br /><br />Tickets are in the form of $10 donations and can be purchased online at <a href="http://apcalwine.com/" target="_self">apcalwine.com</a> or at the event doors.
