City officials in Livingston want to put a stop to dumpster diving. <br /><br />They are considering a law banning people from digging through trash for recyclables and other things. Anyone caught scouring through someone else’s trash would be given a warning first, then face fines up to $50. <br /><br />Livingston officials have received complaints from residents who say their garbage is being dumped on sidewalks and roads by scavengers combing through trash. It often attracts insects and animals. The Livingston City Council will take public comments about the proposed ordinance tonight.<br /><br /></div>
