Man Critically Wounded in Shooting at Central Fresno Apartment Complex

Fresno police are investigating a shooting at a central Fresno apartment complex that left a man in his 50s in critical condition.
Police are working to identify whoever is responsible and are investigating what caused the shooting.
It happened just before 9 p.m. at the Peppertree Apartments on E. Pontiac Way near Blackstone & Ashlan.
Police say the man was shot once or twice.
They believe it happened inside an apartment but police found the man lying in the parking lot.
He was responsive and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.
Police say there was a witness–another person was with the victim.
"Once officers arrived they located a victim in the parking lot area who received maybe one or two gunshot wounds, we don’t know at this time. He was rushed to CRMC where he is listed in critical condition at this time," says Lt. Phil Cooley with the Fresno Police Department.
On April 6, there was a shooting that injured two people at the same apartment complex.
Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying those responsible. Anyone with information can call the Fresno Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 498-STOP to remain anonymous.
