Man Who Threatened Police Chief and Mayor Back in Jail

A Crime Stoppers tip leads to the arrest of a man suspected of selling drugs across the street from a Fresno high school.

36-year-old Joshua Fong had served prison time for threatening to kill Fresno police chief Jerry Dyer and former mayor Alan Autry.

He was arrested at his home on Barton near Tulare Avenue, less than a block away from Roosevelt High School.

Police say Joshua Fong posted a video online showing how to make an explosive.

Fresno police say this is part of the evidence against 36-year-old Joshua Fong.
It’s a video posted to his YouTube account showing how to make a chemical bomb.

"It’s real easy kids, you can do this too," you hear a voice say to the camera.

Fong is no stranger to police and social media.
Back in 2008 when he was on parole, he wrote a song in which he threatened to kill Fresno police chief Jerry Dye and then mayor Alan Autry.

His lyrics include:
"When the fifty unloads, I’ll turn his chest into cheese
When your body’s stiff and cold try to get me to freeze
I won’t stop til Alan Autry’s dead restin’ in peace
(Profanity) Jerry Dyer and every single Fresno Police."

Fong was sentenced to a year in prison for that.
BEcause of those threats and the bomb-making video, police took added precautions when they arrested Fong Tuesday night.

"We found evidence and we collected evidence to prove that he was actually making a chemical explosive device as it showed on his YouTube page," said Sgt. Mark Hudson with the Fresno Police Department.

Detectives on Sergeant Hudson’s team served a search warrant at Fong’s.
Police showed us pictures of what they found: methamphetamine, marijuana, a scale and baggies commonly used in drug sales, and drug paraphernalia – including crack pipes.

"His house is located near Roosevelt High School which could lead to an enhancement for selling narcotics that close to a school zone," Sgt. Hudson said.
