New energy project launches in Fresno

Local business and community leaders gathered to launch a coalition in support of a new power project.

It could bring a new power transmission line to the valley, which would mean more reliable energy as the valley continues to grow.

"Reliable energy is going to be key to ensuring that this area can continue to grow and flourish," Lynsey Paulo, with PG&E, said.

The group says they will not take a position on where the power transmission line should pass through.
