Fire reported 5/26/25 east-northeast of Quemado Lake Estates, quickly showing a visible smoke column. Fire behavior calmed overnight as crews completed direct dozer line to the north and west of the fire and prepared for firing operations east of the fire. Crews completed firing operations during the early morning hours from Forest Road 13D, removing fuel ahead of the fire and roughly securing about 75% of the fire perimeter. Additional crews relieved initial attack crews to continue working toward containment today. 

5/27/25 fire jumped dozer lines and spread south toward Quemado Lake. Acreage reduced based on improved mapping. Incident command transferred to Gila Las Cruces Type 3 Incident Command Team at 6:00 p.m.
