The Ranch Fire started approximately 10:00 am, on Tuesday, June 4. The fire is estimated at 1,000 acres being driven by the wind and heavy fuels. It's moving to the south/southeast at a moderate rate of spread. Additional resources have been ordered including hand crews and engines.
The fire is located approximately 19 miles southeast of Patagonia and south/southwest of the San Rafael State Natural Area in Santa Cruz County.
