MADERA COUNTY — Communities across Madera County are invited to saddle up for a fun-filled day at Madera County Animal Services on Saturday, June 7th, during a free adoption event held as part of the statewide California Adopt-A-Pet Day.
Free Adoptions & Veterinary Services
Running from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at 28261 Avenue 14 in Madera, the event promises a western-themed celebration where attendees can meet and adopt their next furry companion at no cost. The ASPCA and CalAnimals partnered with 150 animal shelters, including Madera County, to organize this large-scale effort.
The event will feature adoptable kittens, cats, dogs, and puppies. Madera County Animal Services will waive all adoption fees and provide fully vetted pets. This includes spay or neuter services, vaccinations (including rabies), microchipping, flea and tick prevention, and deworming.

Beyond pet adoptions, the event offers a full day of family-friendly entertainment. Guests can enjoy food trucks, vendor booths, photo opportunities, raffles, games, and live music. Local organizations will also be present, providing attendees with the opportunity to learn more about animal care and welfare.
Organizers encourage families to follow the paw prints at the entrance and enjoy a day of community connection while supporting animal rescue efforts.
