Michael Leon Cash, 63, of Oakhurst, CA, passed away on June 7, 2025, at Community Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born on July 18, 1961, in Fairfield, California, Mike, a Christian with deep faith, was a man of warmth, strength, and wisdom. He loved the outdoors, especially camping in their 5th wheel with his wife Tammy. Spending time at the beach was one of Michael’s favorite things. He was an avid reader with deep appreciation for space exploration and history. Mike was passionate about woodworking, he loved making toy trucks for the grandkids and num-chuks for his friends. Mike also loved knives and knife sharpening, and tinkering around in his shop. He loved taking his CJ5 Jeep out for adventurous Sunday drives with his wife.
Mike was happiest surrounded by his family, especially his wife, and beloved grandsons, Wyatt, Warren (“Ren”), and Caliber, who brought endless joy to his life. He is survived by his devoted wife, Tamra “Tammy” Cash; his loving mother, Caroline Cash; Mother in law, Phyllis McAdams; sons Justin Cash, Greg McAdams, Jesse (Samantha) McAdams; daughter Jessica Cash; his brother and sister-in-law, David (Melissa) Cash. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews and many longtime friends whom he loved dearly.
Mike moved to the Mountain area when he was a Senior in High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1979 and severed his country for 6 years.
Mike was the proud owner of Oakhurst Locksmith, a business he ran with dedication and integrity. He truly enjoyed his work and the people he met through it—many of whom became close friends over the years.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Cash, and his father-in-law, Wayne McAdams.
Mike’s presence, laughter, and love will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
