
On Monday, June 23, aerial firefighting resources, including air tankers, were ordered to help contain the spread of the fire. Crews worked into the evening to establish a fire line around the perimeter.
On Tuesday, June 24, ground crews reported that all fire lines are holding, and today they will focus on securing the right flank of the wildfire.
On Wednesday, June 25, fire line is complete around the fire perimeter. All lines held overnight. The wildfire received significant precipitation on Tuesday night, but heat remains in large logs and is smoldering. Fire crews are starting to mop-up which means extinguishing and removing burning materials near control lines.
On Thursday, June 26, fire line around the perimeter held overnight. This morning the wildfire reduced in complexity transitioning to a Type 5 incident. A Type 5 incident is the lowest level of complexity in incident management, typically manageable with minimal resources. Fire crews continue to mop up, which means extinguishing and removing burning materials near control lines. Currently, 40 feet from the fire line has been mopped up around the fire perimeter.
