12 hours: Overnight growth is expected to be minimal with decent overnight recoveries. Some flanking will occur where down canyon winds and available fuels align.

24 hours: On the Summit Fire crews will continue to secure the left flank and head of the fire and scout for opportunities for direct and indirect line on the right flank. The fire will continue to be moderately active primarily flanking to the south and west towards Man Eater lake . Fire activity is increased in the green timber stringers where there is enough timber litter to support fire spread. There is a chance for another large push up to the PCT given the incoming weather and alignment of available fuels within the drainage. On the Jacket fire resource will continue to secure and mop up the fire minimal fire activity is expected today with the instability moving in.

48 hours: On the Summit Fire crews will continue to secure the left flank and head of the fire and scout for opportunities for direct and indirect line on the right flank. The fire will continue to be moderately active primarily flanking tow the south and west towards Man Eater lake . Fire is more active in the green timber stringers where there is enough timber litter to support fire spread. There is a chance for another large push up to the PCT given the incoming weather and alignment of available fuels within the drainage. On the Jacket fire resource will continue to secure and mop up the fire minimal fire activity is expected today even with the continued instability

72 hours: Weather will be trending hotter and dryer. The increased temps will begin to dry out the live fuels and some of the brush component that has not been actively burning may become available. This could lead to larger fire growth and small runs that may challenge control features on the Summit Fire. Crews will work to create control features along the right flank to stay ahead of anticipated fire spread. On the Jacket mop up will continue with minimal fire activity expected.
