

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Six teens were arrested in connection with two assaults that happened at the end of June in Fresno, police said.
The first assault happened on June 30. Officers responded to Quigley Park at around 6:30 a.m. for a victim of an assault.
They found a 73-year-old victim. Police said that witnesses stated they saw six people exit two vehicles and violently attack the victim and flee the scene.
The victim was rushed to surgery and became critical due to a brain bleed from his injuries. Police said he is currently recovering.
For the second assault, officers responded to the area of Weber Avenue and Brown Avenue at around 6:45 a.m.
Police said the second assault involved suspects and vehicles of the same description from the previous incident. They say that six people jumped out of their vehicles and violently attacked a 40-year-old man. The man was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
The vehicles that were used for both attacks were located and found to be stolen, according to police.
The six suspects range from the ages of 13 to 15 years old. Police said they were found to be prolific auto theft suspects.
As of July 7, all six juveniles have been arrested and were booked into the Juvenile Justice Center.
