IDENTIFIED: 2 men who died after Corcoran shooting

CORCORAN, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The two men who died after a shooting in Corcoran on Thursday have been identified by the Kings County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office identified the two victims as 30-year-old Joshua Morton of Hanford and 19-year-old Francisco Montez of Corcoran.

Around 12:30 a.m. on July 10, officers responded to the 1600 block of Dairy Avenue for a report of gunshots fired from a vehicle and a crash.

When investigators arrived, a person who was injured after being struck by a vehicle contacted police. According to police, the vehicle drove into the front driveway and crashed into the wall.

Police said the driver of the vehicle had gunshot wounds and died at the scene. The second victim was treated at a local hospital, where they later died.

On Sunday, July 13, officers with the Corcoran Police identified 44-year-old Regina Marie Barrera as the suspect. A 17-year-old was also arrested and he was booked into the Kings County Juvenile Center.
