Kayaker dies after falling into reservoir in Fresno County

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A kayaker died Friday after falling into the Courtright Reservoir in Fresno County, the sheriff’s office said.

It was reported that shortly before 8 a.m., a man in a kayak had fallen into the reservoir. He did not resurface right away.

Once he did, deputies say people took him to shore and began CPR. Deputies responded, but by the time they arrived, he had died.

The man is believed to be in his 30s. No official name has been released by officials.
