THREE RIVERS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A sandwich shop in the Tulare County community of Three Rivers has made Yelp’s “Top 100 Sandwich Shops” list.

Sierra Subs and Salads in Three Rivers, near Sequoia National Park, was ranked number two on the list.

To celebrate National Sandwich Month coming up in August, Yelp launched its first-ever top 100 sandwich shops list.

Yelp says that they discovered a few sandwich trends, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free sandwiches.

At Sierra Subs and Salads in Three Rivers, owners say any specialty sandwich can be made meat-free. According to the owner, Allison Millner, 25-35% of customers order vegetarian.

Sierra Subs and Salads offers gourmet, scratch-made sandwiches for customers to enjoy on a dining deck overlooking the Kaweah River.

Every signature sandwich of the sub shop is served on bread from Max’s Arisan Bread in Fresno and can be made meatless, alongside a regular, lengthy list of vegetarian options.
