VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – All-way stop signs are coming to a busy intersection near a school in Visalia.
The intersection of Dans Street and Visalia Parkway, adjacent to Cottonwood Creek School, will become an all-way stop.
The city’s Senior Civil Engineer, Leslie Blair said that a recent traffic study recommended an all-way stop to be installed for the intersection.
“Due to the proximity of the stop to a school, our Public Works Department was able to schedule the work now before school starts, rather than wait for future Visalia Parkway road improvements,” Blair said.
City officials say residents should keep a lookout for the new stop signs; the stop signs are scheduled to be installed on Thursday, Aug. 7.
