The Central Valley's first-ever Rivian Service Center opens

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – The city of Fresno is celebrating the opening of the Central Valley’s first-ever Rivian EV Service Center, Mayor Jerry Dyer announced Friday.

Anyone who was a Rivian owner in the past would have to either go to Burbank or San Jose to get their vehicle serviced.

“We’re really excited to expand the sustainable transportation infrastructure across our region here in Fresno,” Dyer said.

Dyer said the city started discussions with Rivian in early 2023, which were productive and ultimately led to Rivian opening a service center in the city.

It is anticipated that there will be 100 new jobs in Fresno thanks to the center, Dyer said.

According to Dyer, the estimated economic impact it will have for the city will be $23.8 million, with $18 million of that being from Rivian’s operations.

The new service center is located at 4507 N. Selland Avenue in northwest Fresno, taking the place of the old Sunrun Solar building.
