Above normal temperatures and largely dry conditions remained in
place over the fire today, with showers and thunderstorms
developing in the area. Very little, if any, precipitation was
observed over the fire. Winds were predominantly out of the west
to northwest with peak gusts between 25 and 30 mph in some of
the more exposed terrain, with gusts upwards of 20 mph otherwise.
There will continue to be a chance for light rain over the fire
through much of the overnight hours.
High-based showers and thunderstorms producing very little rain
are expected to linger in the area on Monday, with primary threats
to the fire area continuing to be lightning and gusty and erratic
outflow winds from nearby or passing showers. Temperatures will
cool off by another 1–2 degrees, but still remain above normal for
this time of year. Humidity will remain around 20% during the
afternoon hours with winds continuing out of the west to northwest
with gusts between 20 to 25 mph for the more exposed terrain.
