
Winds, fuels and lack of resources have hampered suppression efforts. Point protection of values risk has limited damage to a single out building with no reported damage to primary residences. Plans include scouting of holding features utilizing roads and dozer lines to decrease the fires' spread. Aircraft remain to be helpful in slowing progression allowing crews to establish additional holding points and
reinforce existing fire lines. Crews will continue to institute sound tactics with the safety of responders, the public and preservation of values at risk as top priorities.
• Firefighter and public safety will be the highest priority throughout the incident. We will utilize a risk-based approach to address firefighter, aviation, and public safety through clear leaders intent with established work priorities and implementation of fundamental firefighting principles using risk-informed decisions.
• Implement strategies and tactics to minimize fire spread and intensity, and develop contingency and structure protection plans to protect high-value resources, including communities, ranches, private property, powerline facilities, transmission lines, oil and gas infrastructure, priority sage grouse habitat, natural and cultural resources, and other values at risk.
• Continue to foster and maintain partnerships and relationships with Agency Administrators, cooperators, permittees, and stakeholders with effective and timely dialogue, meetings, and comprehensive information sharing. Provide timely and accurate information to the public.
• Keep costs commensurate with values at risk.
