The Green Mountain Fire is located approximately six miles north of Packsaddle Mountain and eight miles west of Clark Fork, ID. The fire was discovered 8/29/2025 at 6:27pm. The fire is located just below Green Monarch Mountain on the upper 1/3 of the slope in difficult terrain overlooking Lake Pend Oreille. Aviation resources were assigned to the fire beginning on 8/30/2025.
