Firefighters will continue to strengthen existing firelines, establish new lines, improve old roads, trails, and other holding features, and maintain structure protection measures around lodges and residences. Specific critical requested resources are needed due to steep, rugged terrain, and inaccessibility requires self-sufficiency for crews working the fire. Incident communication infrastructure is critical in this terrain.

Branch I

Div C: Crews will continue prepping the 1253 and 1160 trails to prevent fire spread toward private land and structures while minimizing the overall fire footprint and environmental impacts. The indirect handline will be completed, prepped for firing operations, and positioned to serve as a control feature to help guide fire movement and containment. Work will also focus on connecting Panther Ridge to the Rogue River, treating all water with a 10% bleach solution (1 gallon of bleach for every 1,000 gallons of water) to mitigate Port Orford cedar root rot, and coordinating with READs to account for wilderness, wild, and scenic values along trails and constructed lines within the wilderness.

Div G: Will locate potential direct or indirect control line locations by utilizing trails, road systems, and natural land features. This work will identify safe options for incoming resources to engage in fire suppression, with the objective of establishing control lines that can effectively stop the fire's spread.

Branch IV

Div W: Crews will continue prepping the 700 and 127 Roads as holding features on the Pinnacle Fire and pursuing indirect line construction on the southeast corner when opportunities present. These actions are intended to contain the spread of fire to the south and west, with the planned end state of keeping all fire north of Bear Camp Road.

Div Q: Currently unstaffed, once staffed crews will locate potential direct or indirect control line locations by using trails, road systems, and natural land features to identify safe options for incoming resources to engage in fire suppression. The objective is to establish control lines that can stop the fire's spread. On the Tate Fire, operations will focus on patrol and monitoring. On the east side of the Pinnacle Fire, if resources are available, scouting will be conducted for potential direct or indirect lines under the direction of DIV W, with regular contact maintained to ensure coordination.

Contingency Group: Crews will construct the primary holding and contingency line from Hanging Rock to Bald Knob to prevent fire spread north of Panther Ridge and protect private lands from resource damage. The objective is to keep the fire contained within the lines south of Panther Ridge while minimizing impacts to private property. All water used will be treated with a 10% bleach solution to address Port Orford cedar root rot, and coordination with READs will ensure wilderness, wild, and scenic values are considered along trails and constructed lines within the wilderness.

Private Lands Group: Provide structure protection as necessary to safeguard values at risk on private lands, Half Moon Lodge, Paradise Lodge, Clay Hill Lodge, and Brushy Bar Campsite.

River Group: Crews will continue mopping up to a depth of one chain and patrolling secured line in the Paradise and Half Moon Lodge areas while completing structure preparation around Clay Hill. These efforts aim to protect structures from fire impingement, ensuring that sites along the Rogue River, including Half Moon Lodge, Brushy Bar Campsite, and Paradise Lodge, experience minimal impacts from the fire.
