Bass Lake, CA – The Mountain Area Runners would like to invite all runners and walkers to join in the celebration of the 38th Smokey Bear Run/Walk on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Enjoy beautiful Bass Lake, California, for the Smokey Bear Run / Walk. This year’s event proceeds will benefit CAL FIRE, the USFS Fire Prevention Programs, and the Madera County Sheriff volunteer programs.

The courses run on Road 222, which edges Bass Lake. Slightly rolling hills and pristine views of Bass Lake are in store for 10k and 2-mile participants! Road 222 will be closed to all vehicles between 7:00 am and 11:00 am. The race begins and ends at Recreation Point Day Use Area, 39900 Road 222
Bass Lake, CA US 93604.

Road 222 closes to all vehicles at 7:00 AM and reopens at 11:00 AM. Please arrive early for best parking.
