Experience the 'scariest haunt in the valley' in Madera County

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Want to experience the “scariest haunt in the valley?” Raisin Hell Ranch in Madera County added new attractions to “deliver a massive dose of fear for its 17th consecutive season.”

According to the ranch’s officials, Raisin Hell Ranch is unique as it’s the only haunted attraction set in a vast field of corn. There are also two haunted attractions with “twisted trails over three acres, featuring more than 30 sinister scenes and over 50 gruesome ghouls to torment guests.”

Each haunt takes 15 to 20 minutes to complete, which ranch officials said makes it the longest haunted experience in the valley.

What is new this year is a vendor village that features “local merchants offering eerie gifts and tricky treats for the whole family” on Fridays and Saturdays.

What’s also new is the Spectral Raven Theater Company, which is offering 15-minute horror-themed vignettes as an optional add-on for $5.

Tickets start at $17.50 for a single attraction. “A ‘front-of-the-line’ fast pass is also available for those dying to get their scare on.”

Raisin Hell Ranch is located just 10 minutes from Fresno and Madera County, just off Highway 99 and Avenue 7, one exit north of Herndon Avenue on Road 32. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. and the haunting begins at dark.
