As of October 15, 2025: Fire management will look for opportunities in the coming weeks for pile burning on Pueblo Colorado Rx Fire Piles Unit 2 pending forecasted daily weather, fuel moisture conditions and required approvals.

Pueblo Colorado Prescribed Fire Piles Project includes:
722 acres of pinyon juniper piles on unit 1 & 2 in the Coordinated Resource Management Project in the Gallinas Mountains in Torrance County, NM located Southeast of Willard and 15 miles Northwest of Corona, NM. Map attached.
