Festival gates open at 10:00 am on Saturday and Sunday, with the Opening Ceremony kicking off at 11:00 am on Saturday.
This exciting two-day event will bring the rich traditions of Celtic culture to the Sierra Nevada foothills, just minutes from Yosemite National Park.
Festival Highlights
- Highland Competitions: Caber toss, kids’ “ca-bear” toss, weight over the bar, stone put.
- Piping and Drumming Competitions: Registration is open for WUSPBA-sanctioned events.
- Fun Contests: Participate in the Great Celtic Beard-Off and the Pie Eating Contest sponsored by Yosemite Pie Company.
Throughout the weekend, enjoy the stirring tunes of Tempest, Celtic Alchemy, Fresno Stag & Thistle, and the Mariposa Ukulele Ensemble, along with performances from Gaelic Muses with Michael Mullen and Oakhurst’s very own Ariel Barker, the Violinist.
Browse the many artisan vendors and savor traditional flavors, including meat pies, jerky, and freshly baked treats. Don’t miss the Norse encampment, where Dark Boar Vikings will share insights into Viking life, or explore Clan Row to connect with clan representatives and share stories.
Enjoy Tarts & Tea with Royalty at Her Majesty’s Royal Court, whiskey tastings hosted by Dan McClesky, and a magical children’s Story & Tea Time with Miranda the Forest Fairy in the Fairy Village.
