MARIPOSA, CA – Adam McLane has announced his candidacy for Mariposa County District 1 Supervisor. The following is his official statement:
“Most Mariposans know me as a local farmer, small business owner, and a friendly face on social media. However, soon you’ll start seeing me around as Adam McLane, candidate for Supervisor.
I’m running for District 1 Supervisor because I’m optimistic about the future of Mariposa County.
As a creative person, I’ve spent my life identifying problems and working towards real solutions using limited resources. That’s the type of leadership I’d like to bring in serving as the District 1 County Supervisor.
Let’s work together to turn today’s challenges into tomorrow’s opportunities.
As we’ve built our lives here, first serving the victims of the Oak Fire as a fire case manager and now pursuing our dream of building a small farm, I’ve engaged with many departments of our county government and I’ve also had the opportunity to meet many Mariposans. What I’ve heard over and over again is two things. First, there are real practical challenges to living in Mariposa County. Second, and most importantly, there’s a hope that we can make this a place where our children and grandchildren will want to raise their families, too.
My vision for Mariposa is to prioritize working together to find solutions to the problems we each face, to move that dream for our children and grandchildren towards reality. Let’s make our county government easier to navigate for every resident. Let’s focus energy and invest resources to drive economic growth by encouraging small business growth and innovation within Mariposa County. Let’s celebrate and support job creation. Let’s prioritize arts and culture. And let’s make sure our law enforcement and first responders have everything they need to keep residents and visitors safe.
