NORTH FORK, CA – The North Fork Chili Cook-Off, a cherished local tradition, took place this past Saturday, October 25, at the Recreation Center, hosted by The North Fork Boosters. Competitors began their day bright and early at 9:30 AM with blind tastings judged by a panel of three local residents, followed by a booth décor competition.

The event officially opened its doors to the public at 11:00 AM. Although the sky was cloudy and temperatures were chilly—perfect conditions for enjoying a warm bowl of chili—the turnout was lower than expected this year. However, despite the smaller crowd, the event still successfully raised funds for the community, showcasing the resilient spirit of North Fork.
Attendees were treated not only to a variety of delicious chili offerings but also to an array of tempting baked goods prepared by the North Fork Women’s Club. Their delightful sweets provided the perfect complement to the savory dishes on display.
