COARSEGOLD, CA — The Coarsegold Rodeo Grounds is proud to announce that its first-ever Rodeo Royalty & Ambassador Clinic, taking place November 15, 2025, has officially reached capacity. This free community event is hosted by an all-women team of professionals who have donated their time, products, and services to provide young girls with a unique, personal introduction to rodeo royalty and ambassadorship.

Designed to build confidence, promote inclusion, and honor the traditions of rodeo royalty, the clinic offers a warm, welcoming, and empowering environment where participants can learn, grow, and connect. At its core, the event celebrates “cowgirls supporting cowgirls,” showcasing mentorship, positivity, and community spirit.

A Vision for Community, Inclusion, and Positivity

With the recent change of ownership, Coarsegold Rodeo Grounds is embracing a new era focused on positivity, inclusivity, and community involvement whether or not participants are involved with horses. The success of the recent Mutton Bustin’ Series showed that when you offer something the community asks for, people respond enthusiastically.

“Our goal is for Coarsegold to be known as a place that welcomes everyone and encourages trying new things,” said Melissa Steward, owner and program leader. “My personal motto is: ‘You won’t know until you try.’ I love this community, and I will continue to try new opportunities to benefit all, not just myself. I am proud to offer this clinic and will be the first to cheer for every participant. Treating others how you want to be treated is at the heart of this program, and I know every woman involved feels the same way. Youth matters, community matters, and traditions matter.”

Due to an overwhelming number of sign-ups, the clinic had to close registration to ensure every participant receives a one-of-a-kind, personal experience. Trying something new can be challenging, but the community has shown they are open, enthusiastic, and ready to embrace new opportunities.

Non-Traditional and Inclusive Approach

Moving forward, the program will adopt a non-traditional approach by welcoming girls who may not yet have horseback riding or horsemanship experience. These participants can join as ambassadors, gaining exposure to rodeo royalty, leadership skills, and community involvement, even if they aren’t ready for the full royalty program. This provides a starting point for girls to grow, learn, and eventually transition into the full Coarsegold Rodeo Royalty program when they are ready.

An Incredible Team of Women Inspiring Women

The clinic introduces participants to confidence, leadership, and presentation skills in a fun, supportive environment. Participants will engage in public speaking exercises, stage presence training, personal presentation, and mentorship activities, providing a first glimpse into the traditions and skills of rodeo royalty.

The powerhouse team includes:

  • Amber Lindgren, Rodeo Royalty Leader, bringing years of horsemanship knowledge and mentorship.
  • Jamie Hatcher, Horsemanship Leader and well-known barrel racing/gymkhana producer, sharing her passion for horses and the rodeo lifestyle.
  • Gina Samper, Flag Team Leader, recently known for outstanding performances at the Big Fresno Fair and Coarsegold Harvest Rodeo, teaching teamwork, rhythm, and confidence.
  • Melody Terzian-Roberts, owner of BEEF Cosmetics, a Sanger native, providing makeup from her brand that focuses on creativity and confidence for every cowgirl.
  • Amy Dindia, Coarsegold stylist at The Studios, hosting a western hair tutorial perfect for rodeo royalty appearances.
  • Ashley Allen-Miller, Oakhurst native and esthetician at The Studios, teaching skincare basics and self-care habits.
  • Alexandra Cetti, Fresno model and actress, guiding participants on camera confidence, photo angles, and stage presence.
  • Mikayla Mangrum-Krucki, professional makeup artist, sharing tips and tricks to help participants feel their best.

The clinic also features a fashion show with the current Coarsegold Royalty team, local fashion influencers, and rodeo royalty experts, showcasing modern western trends and royalty wear to inspire attendees.

Confidence, Connection, and Community

Participants will take part in tutorials, games, and activities designed to build confidence both in and out of the arena, including public speaking exercises, team-building sessions, and personal development activities inspired by real-world rodeo royalty experiences. “This clinic represents the future of rodeo; strong, confident young women who love their community and each other,” Steward said. “Every woman on this team stepped up to volunteer because they believe in the power of inspiring the next generation.”

While the event has reached full capacity, future clinics and educational opportunities are being planned due to overwhelming community interest.
