Mariposa Countywide Nonresidential Market Study

To support sustainable economic growth in the area, Mariposa County conducted a Nonresidential Market Study to evaluate the economic health of local industries and identify opportunities for enhancing nonresidential land use. This study aligns with the County’s 2017 Economic Vitality Strategy detailed below. Key components include a retail demand analysis, identification of gaps in commercial services, and strategies designed to foster a balanced and thriving economy for residents, businesses, and visitors. The Mariposa County Economic Vitality Strategy (EVS)

The Mariposa County Economic Vitality Strategy (EVS), first developed in 2007, aims to strengthen tourism and diversify the local economy while preserving the County’s values and quality of life. In 2017, the County published an updated study that further focuses on refining economic development approaches, streamlining regulations, and aligning land use with current needs to ensure a prosperous future for the County.   • Made in Mariposa (MiM) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting artists, crafters, and local producers in Mariposa County. Operated as a cooperative of artisans, the MiM store provides a shared space where members can showcase and sell their handmade goods, fostering creativity and community. https://madeinmariposa.org
  • Motherload Job Training offers a range of services designed to support businesses in the region. They provide strategies to enhance hiring and retention, helping companies find and keep qualified employees.
