
Here are the Caltrans road projects that are planned for the week beginning Sunday, December 14th to the 21st in Calaveras County. There is no scheduled Caltrans work for Tuolumne County.
On Highway 49 one-way traffic control from South Bret Harte/Sam’s Way to Copello Drive (Left) will allow for roadway excavation on Monday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The rest of the week, from Tuesday to Friday the work will be at night from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. South Bret Harte/Sam’s Way to Copello Drive.
On Highway 4 long-term, one-way traffic control continues from Appaloosa Road to Stallion Way. The pavement work will continue as currently scheduled through Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
On Highway 26 long-term, one-way traffic control from Gill Haven Drive to Rich Gulch Lane for highway construction work will continue as currently scheduled through Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
On Highway 26 two areas of tree work will limit traffic to one-way in West Point. The traffic control takes place from Main Street West to Bucksaw Lane on Monday and Tuesday and from Railroad Flat Road to Main Street/West in West Point on Wednesday. All three days the work will be from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5 to 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
