MADERA COUNTY, CA – Rebecca Martinez, County Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters announced on December 10, 2025 that an Election will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. The following offices will appear on the ballot for this election, including the applicable candidate filing dates:

The following are the filing periods associated with becoming a candidate at that election:
- December 19, 2025 to February 4, 2026 – Signatures in Lieu of Filing Fee Period
- January 26, 2026 to February 4, 2026 – Declaration of Intention Period(Judges)
- February 5, 2026 to February 9, 2026 – Declaration of Intention Extension Period(Judges) – If the incumbent judge has not filed a Declaration of Intention to succeed the same office, then any other person, other than the incumbent, may file such a declaration during the extension period.
- February 9, 2026 to March 6, 2026 – Nomination & Declaration of Candidacy Period
- March 7, 2026 to March 11, 2026* – Extended Nomination and Declaration of Candidacy Period – (Extends only if Incumbent fails to file by deadline. Does not apply to office for which there is no Incumbent)
- April 6, 2026 to May 19, 2026 – Write-in Candidacy Period
* – indicates date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or Holiday. Filing date moves to next business day.
