CORCORAN, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Officials say a suspected DUI stop in Corcoran led to the arrest of a 34-year-old man on Monday.
According to the Corcoran Police Department, the CPD’s violent crimes unit was in the area between Dairy Avenue and Sherman Avenue and Dairy and Bainum Avenue on Monday, just after 8 p.m.
A report of shots fired was called in to the CPD’s dispatch, and nearby officers were able to locate a suspect vehicle within minutes.
Officials say the driver of the vehicle, 34-year-old Jose Rios, was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Officials say a search of Rios’ vehicle found three guns, over 200 rounds of ammunition, 63 grams of cocaine, packaging materials, and a scale.

According to officials, Rios was booked into the Kings County Jail for several weapons violations and narcotics violations.
