3 arrested for fatal shooting of 17-year-old in Hanford

HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Three people have been arrested for their suspected involvement in the shooting death of a 17-year-old boy Friday morning, the Hanford police department said.

On January 30th, at approximately 10:18 a.m., the Hanford Police Department said it received multiple calls reporting a shooting at the Casa Del Sol Apartments, located near Hanford Armona Road and 12th Avenue.

Officers arrived to find a 17-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders provided life-saving measures at the scene, however, the victim was pronounced deceased.

Shortly after, investigators learned of two people of interest in the case and found a vehicle they believed to be associated with them a short distance away at Ogdon Street and Bengston Avenue.

The Hanford Regional SWAT team was called out, alongside the Kings County SWAT team, and a search warrant was served where the vehicle was found. However, the suspects were not at the home.

Officers said they learned that 25-year-old Pasha Evins and 19-year-old Famous Hinton were on their way to Southern California with 25-year-old Elise Hernandez.

Police said the trio was located on the freeway in San Bernardino County by the California Highway Patrol and were arrested after trying to flee from officers. They note that a firearm was found in the vehicle.

The three suspects were transported back to the Central Valley and booked into the Kings County Jail.

Hinton and Evins were arrested on suspicion of murder and criminal conspiracy.

Hernandez was arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting, and being an accessory after-the-fact.

Anyone with information regarding this homicide case is asked to contact Hanford Police Detective Smith at (559) 585-2535.
