3 people hit walking crosswalk in Madera

MADERA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Three people were hospitalized after being hit by a truck Saturday afternoon in Madera, police announced.

According to Madera Police, around 2:35 p.m., they responded to Granada Drive and Cleveland Avenue for a report of a vehicle that hit a pedestrian.

Investigators reported a Ford pickup truck was turning southbound onto Granada Drive when the driver struck three pedestrians who were walking in the crosswalk.

Officers say all three pedestrians were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Their conditions are unknown.

Police say the driver remained on scene and is not believed to be under the influence.
