One sent to hospital after shooting at Hanford bar

HANFORD, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – An early morning Valentine’s Day shooting sent one person to the hospital Saturday, Hanford police said.

Just before 1 a.m., police were dispatched to the Sequoia Club bar on Irwin Street, between 6th and 7th Streets, after someone reported that an employee had been shot.

Upon their arrival, officers said they found the individual suffering from a gunshot wound. Additionally, nearby parked vehicles and buildings were observed to have been struck by gunfire as well.

The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment, and Hanford police say the victim is in stable condition.

Investigators said the suspect fled the scene prior to their arrival.
