Man dead, suspect on the loose after stabbing in Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A man died after being stabbed in Fresno Tuesday, and police say they are still searching for the suspect.

At around 12:30 p.m., Fresno Police responded to a stabbing on West Hedges Avenue, near the intersection of Polk Avenue and Olive Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene and found the man who had been stabbed. He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Fresno Police and the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office were both at the scene searching for the suspect.

The search was focused on a nearby orchard near Delbert Avenue and Olive Avenue. A K9 unit was also deployed to help with the search.
