MARIPOSA COUNTY, CA – The 2026 In Frame youth art show– All Things Pass– is on display now through March 20th at the Mariposa County Library. This show is a collection of images, colors, feelings and concepts that explore the theme All Things Pass. Each in their own way, students ages 11 – 18 created art that spoke to the practicalities and metaphors of this phrase.
As one young artist in our show put it: ”nothing truly lasts forever, but we can still have hope for a brighter future. After all, do what you can while you’re still alive because we, my friend, are ephemeral.”

In Frame is an annual art show for Mariposa County’s rising generation of artists and creatives. This juried youth art show is designed to empower young voices, to grow their skills and portfolios, and to recognize and celebrate them through a professional showcase. This winter, any youth attending school in Mariposa County, ages 11 to 18 were invited to submit works that were flat, 8.5 x 11″, and a response to this year’s theme: All Things Pass. There are 19 students in this year’s show.
There will be a closing reception at the Mariposa Library on March 19th from 5:00 – 6:00pm. All are welcome.
This program is facilitated by the Mariposa Arts Council as a part of their Arts Coordination Provider work with Mariposa County Unified School District, where they provide programming and development of arts education for the county’s schools.
The Arts Council is an incorporated not-for-profit organization, created to promote and support all forms of the cultural arts, for all ages, throughout Mariposa County. It is supported in part by the County of Mariposa, the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and the California Arts Council, a state agency.
