The Marsh Field Fire started in the afternoon of March 21, 2026, approximately seven miles northwest of Plum Grove and was initially responded to by local fire departments. Texas A&M Forest Service was requested to provide assistance with aircraft, heavy equipment, and firefighters. The fire is currently in joint command between Texas A&M Forest Service and local firefighters.

The fire was declared 100% contained late in the evening of March 21, 2026. This is the last planned update for this fire.
