
FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A 49-year-old man from Las Vegas who was killed in a weekend crash on a Fresno County highway was identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Wednesday.
The man was named as 49-year-old Steven Robertson.
According to the CHP, on Sunday at around 3 a.m., Robertson was driving a gray Nissan Versa southbound on Interstate 5 and Highway 33 at an unknown rate of speed.
Investigators say he veered toward the right shoulder and crashed into the rear of a white Toyota Prius driven by a 41-year-old person from Los Angeles who was stopped with their hazard lights on at the right shoulder.
The Nissan spun out of control and was facing the wrong way on Interstate 5 without headlights.
According to CHP, a 34-year-old driver from Sacramento who was driving a black Toyota Sienna at around 70 miles an hour crashed into Robertson’s car, killing him.
The crash remains under investigation.
