Welcome to Mariposa County Transportation! Enjoy reliable access to medical care, errands, and social gatherings with Mariposa County Transit, where our two services get you to where you need to be!

The Mariposa County Transportation Brochure contains information about the routes, times, and fares. 

MARI-GO Transit:

MARI-GO is our curb-to-curb transit service catering to the public. With designated route areas covering Mariposa, Atwater, and Sonora, we ensure that you can get to where you need to go with convenience.

Whether it's running errands, shopping trips, or social gatherings, MARI-GO has you covered with scheduled services throughout the week.

MARI-GO SCHEDULE

  • Monday - Highway 49 North, Bear Valley, Hornitos, Catheys Valley Areas
  • Monday- Sonora shopping for North County residents
  • Tuesday & Thursday - In town and 3-mile Radius
  • Wednesday - Highway 49 South, Ponderosa Basin, Lush Meadows Areas
  • Friday - Highway 140 East, Midpines and surrounding areas
  • First Thursday of the month – Atwater Shopping Center for all

MARI-GO FARES*

  • Fares in Town (2 Mile Radius): $2 One Way
  • Fares 2 to 12 miles: $3 One Way
  • Fares over 12 miles: $4 One Way

Additional fare for multiple stops

MEDI-TRANS Non-Emergency Medical Transport:

MEDI-TRANS provides curb-to-curb transportation specifically tailored for non-emergency medical appointments in Mariposa and surrounding counties.

We understand the importance of timely and stress-free access to medical care, which is why our service is dedicated to ensuring you reach your appointments comfortably and on time.

An attendant may be required for some in-office procedures. There are no additional fees for those individuals that require a caregiver/attendant. Office staff will let you know if an attendant is required for your ride.

MEDI-TRANS FARES*

  • Medi-Trans Roundtrip Fare - $15
  • Additional fare for multiple stops

*Programs are available like Area 12 that could help cover some fares for those who qualify. No eligible aged citizen will be turned away if they cannot pay.

Accessibility and Affordability:

We prioritize accessibility for all community members and offer ADA compliant vehicles to accommodate individuals with diverse mobility needs.

Services and Operating Hours:

Our services operate Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding County Holidays. To schedule a ride, simply give us a call at 209-966-5315 or email us at transit@mariposacounty.org. We recommend booking in advance to secure your preferred time slot.

Please note that all transportation services are contingent on driver availability and weather conditions and may be subject to cancellation at any time. Office personnel will notify you with as much advance notice as possible regarding any cancellations.

Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to book early.

For medical appointments, consider travel time and the possibility of shared rides.

Mari-Go Special Routes

Mariposa County Transportation is preparing for the holiday season! Throughout November and December, we will be offering rides to the Applegate Shopping Center every Thursday, with the last trip scheduled for December 26th. If you’d like to join us, just give us a call at 209-966-5315 or shoot us an email at transit@mariposacounty.org to reserve your spot. Remember, seats are limited, so it's a good idea to plan ahead. We can’t wait to see you soon!
