One of the most anticipated events of the summer season is back, and it’s ready to transform Oakhurst into a lively, walkable celebration of art, wine, food, and local culture.

The Oakhurst Art & Wine Hop returns Thursday, May 21, kicking off its monthly run through October and inviting locals and visitors alike to experience the town in a whole new way. Held on the third Thursday of each month from 5 to 8 p.m., the event blends creativity and connection into an evening that has quickly become a signature gathering in the mountain community.

What makes the Art & Wine Hop stand out is its immersive, self-guided format. Businesses, galleries, and tasting rooms across Oakhurst open their doors and transform into vibrant art destinations, showcasing the work of local artists while offering wine tastings and culinary bites along the way.

This season features an impressive lineup of participating locations, including Yosemite Wine Tails, Yosemite Sierra Artists Gallery, Bodys by Boyd, Yosemite Gateway Art Center, Oakhurst Spirits Distillery, Elderberry House, and, new this year, the Fairfield Inn & Suites Oakhurst Yosemite.

Guests can stroll at their own pace or hop aboard a free trolley that loops between stops, making it easy to explore everything the event has to offer. Whether you’re a serious art enthusiast or just looking for a fun night out, the Hop delivers something for everyone.

As you would expect by the name—wine tasting is a central draw, with a rotating selection of regional wineries pouring samples. For May, featured wineries include Tom Mackey Cellars, Barton Family Wines, Le Vigne Winery, Remedies Vineyard, Papagni Wines, Rescue Dog Wines, and Cry Baby Wine.

A $20 tasting ticket includes a keepsake glass, and returning guests can bring their glass back for discounted tastings at future events.

And it’s not just about the wine. Local food vendors—including favorites like L&J Tacos and Yosemite Pizza—round out the experience, ensuring that no one goes hungry while exploring the evening’s offerings.

Each month also brings unique artistic highlights. In May, attendees can catch the “Au Naturale” figurative art exhibition at The Gallery at Oakhurst Spirits, adding an extra layer of depth to the evening’s creative showcase.

When the official Hop winds down, the energy doesn’t stop. Guests are encouraged to continue the evening at Yosemite Wine Tails, where live music keeps the vibe going. This month features “Acoustically Speaking” with Whit Baker starting at 8:30 p.m., offering the perfect soundtrack to cap off the night.

More than just an event, the Oakhurst Art & Wine Hop has become a reflection of the community itself—creative, welcoming, and full of life. It’s a place where artists connect with audiences, businesses open their doors in new ways, and neighbors and visitors alike come together to celebrate what makes this mountain town special.

Whether you attend once or make it a monthly tradition, the Oakhurst Art & Wine Hop promises an evening that’s equal parts culture, connection, and pure summer fun.
