FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A substitute teacher with Central Unified has been arrested on suspicion of inappropriate contact with a minor, according to the school district.

The Fresno Police Department confirmed that 47-year-old Christin David Flores was arrested on sexual assault-related charges.

Jail records show that Flores was arrested on Wednesday evening on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a juvenile of 14 or 15 years old (with the suspect being at least 10 years older than the child) and arranging a meeting with a minor with intent to engage in sexual conduct.

In the statement, the school district says its staff “immediately barred this individual from our campuses, launched an internal investigation, and are fully cooperating with the Fresno Police Department.”

District staff adds that they cannot provide any more details at this time and refer further questions about the investigation to the Fresno Police Department.

The district said they are fully cooperating with the Fresno Police Department to ensure they have all necessary information for their ongoing investigation.
